New VW Passat CC

The New VW Passat CC is Volkswagen’s 4 door coupe answer to the Mercedes CLS. Based on an uprated version of the Passat’s chassis, the car has a much swoopier coupe style roof line, whilst continuing to offer 4 doors. This is a solution to many a company car drivers needs where they are require to buy a 4 door saloon car by their fleet director, so they can freey around clients, but 90% it is only themselves in the car, and the driver would much prefer a sexier, sportier looking 2 door coupe. The Passat CC gives you both, with stunning looks that are graceful and elegant, and a thousand times more stylish than the regular model. The Car has 2 individual rear seats that still have reasonable levels of head and legroom, but it is worth noting it is not a bench seat, and there is no way of squeezing 3 in at a push. Despite this the car offers a level of style and versatility few other cars can match.

VW Passat CC 1.8 TSI

The VW Passat CC TSI is currently the smallest engine in the range, but still develops a very respectable 160 bhp, which is capable of taking the CC from 0-60 in 8.6 seconds, and on to 138 mph. The 1.8 engine is lively, smooth and enjoys revving, and still gives a good official combined fuel consumption figure of 37 mpg. The 1.8 is only available in the standard trim, and comes in both manual or automatic.

VW Passat CC 2.0 TDI Diesel

The VW Passat CC 2.0 TDI diesel is expected to be the big seller in the range, and is available in 2 power levels, either 140 or 170 bhp. The 140 has a 0-60 of 9.6 secs, with the 170 a second quicker, and going on to 141 mph. Average fuel consumption on both is an excellent 48.7 mpg. Both are available as a manual or with the great DSG automatic gearbox, the 140 can be ordered in either than standard or GT spec, the 170 is currently available in GT spec only.

VW Passat CC 2.0 TSI

The VW Passat CC 2.0 TSI engine is the 200 bhp unit directly from the Golf GTI, and it feels it. Beautifully refined and effortlessly quick, the motor really does get the best of the balanced chassis, and enables some serious speed to be built up, with a 0-60 time of 7.6 seconds and going on to 147 mph. It still returns a respectable 35.8 mpg, although the diesel is better if you’re looking for fuel economy. The 2.0 TSi is only available in GT spec, either as a manual or as a tiptronic auto.

The Standard VW Passat CC Specification includes: 17” Alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, remote central locking alarm immobiliser, 2 zone climate control, auto dim rear view mirror, carpet mats, cupholders, electric windows, electronic park brake, front centre armrest, full size spare wheel, cooled glove box, multifunction computer, multifunction steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, Dash mounted 6 CD changer with Aux-In socket for your MP3 player, split fold rear seats, sports suspension and a tyre pressure indicator.

VW Passat CC GT

The VW Passat CC GT spec is the higher of the 2 trim levels available. The GT spec gives you larger 18” Alloy wheels, front fog lights, dark tinted glass, brushed aluminium inserts in the dashboard, nappa leather upholstery and ACC – (Adaptive Chassis Control) letting you adjust the suspension settings manually.
